G11 or G15 keyboard

Okay, I'm in a pickle ( lol at the word ) I cant choose what gaming keyboard I want.
I think I'm leaning toward the G11 because people say that the G15 LCD screen is not that useful.
I know they are exactly the same keyboards just G11 doesn't have the LCD, I don't know what one to get, please help me!

it has an lcd which is pretty much pointless but notherless an lcd i like it as i have the clock with date on it so i can see time wihtout having to minmise stuff im on and such

I have an lcd on my keyboard it is nice mine has date time and the indoor temp which is nice to know for me.

meh, i like to play in the dark alot and i need a new keyboard anyways. the saitek has bad reviews everywhere...my friends with g11/g15s said i should get one of those, i just cant choose

If you use Xfire, then get the G15 because the messages pop up on the LCD screen, which I guess could be easier than if it came up in the corner.

no..

The lcd has a countdown timer and stop clock. (the cdn timer has an option where you can have an alarm sound)
Then there's the normal clock + date
Media Display. Shows what song you are listening to + seek bar. (and it supports nearly every music player)
Performance... useless

but thats not all

3rd Party comes in rescue.
Using MirandaIM, you can have your msn/aim/icq/irc/whatever else on the screen. you can see what people
write, type back to them, see the contact list and such
TeamSpeak plugin.

and there's a program that allows you to make your own screen applets (which is easy to use)

now go and get that piece of hardware!

You want the g15 that's why you put it on top even though the g11 is easier to type.. So spend the extra money and get what you want.

The G15's LCD is screen is great. I ussually have it as a clock but it also has a stop watch, media control (shows info on song and movies being played) Teamspeak and xfire displays and alot of games (including BF2142) make excellent useage of it. The G15 does cost more but it is very worth it. I doubt I will buy a new keyboard for another 4years and my G15 is already a year and a half old.

I would say the lcd is worth the extra $13, I love having an accurate clock and I run an excellent teamspeak app on it.

thanks guys, thats helpin. docta, i have heard rumors that the paint on the keys rubbed off on the g15, has this happened to you, did logitech fix it?

+ if i move my printer to somewhere else, put my moniter over in the corner and the sound with it, my mous in the keyboard droor do you think the keyboard would fit? i heard its like 21.5 inches.

Yeah, it's big, but it's not until you actually put it on your desk and see how much room you don't have for your mouse that you realise it's BIG big. It's the left side where the G keys are that adds to the length. If you don't have enough space it will piss you off.

Go the G15 if you get either. As others have said, if you're going to spend the money you may as well get the screen.

Yeah, this is very useful, when one of your friends in Teamspeak is breathing in his mic all the time and everybody claims to be innocent. So you don't have to minimize BF2 to take a look at the Teamspeak window.

I heard that, too. But I got mine G15 last year in september. I play a lot and use it for programming and until now the paint at all keys is fine.
