Ive had the problem, just close Ea link down, restart not a problem, that said you might debate me on this, but I much prefer Ea link over Steam, steam always craps out.

But who cares? If it meant less coding (and thus potenial for screwing up) then why are you whining? DICE did reuse alot of code but because of that they were able to make the game very cheap and fast. Why is reusing code such a bad thing when only good things come from it?stryyker wrote:

For all of those with EA link errors, I had those too, just uninstall and reinstall EA link. It worked for me and it sould work for you.
Worked. I had only reinstalled before. This time uninstalled and reinstalled and I'm good to go with a countdown timer. Thanks doc.
Thanks for trolling! Considering 2142 has been less of a headache for me, it is enjoyable. 2 was full of bugs, and patches that made things worse. Sure 2 is a good game, but I am less likely to CTD in 2142 than 2 (Last CTD in 2142 was around Jan 4, so I have a nice streak going).stryyker wrote:

He specifically asked them if it was a code or a disc and they said it was on disc.

he is doing probably the smartest thing than any battlefield gamer is doing.. and that is setting priorities. Hit the books first, then hit the icon that says " play Battlefield 2142."

Ill spend some extra dough on a better game: COmmand and Conquer 3: tiberium wars. in 3 weeks i wont be playing bf2142 anymore, i am not impressed with the game's dynamics. i am a 1st lt. now so i did some decent time with it already. got all the recon unlocks, and almost done with the assault and support unlock tree.
