ok i tried the claymore thing, but the C4 tossing was way eayser, you should play a 64 map on karkand, when the mec have control of almost every base so the big fight is between the US artilery and the hotel. its not so much skill as it is luck, sometimes you kill them, sometimes they get away. i recommend just trying to find the biggest clump of enemies, and come from the side or behind them so the earlyest they will see you is when the C4 is going toward the ground, then just right click and jump away and blow up!! i got like 15 kills so i got basic, now i need to work on Vet.

- Bloody $%&&^%& Explosive Ordinance Badge
I got expert just a few days ago, although i first thought it was COMPLETELY impossible. Then i got it on second attempt on moders karkand...well anyway heres how i did it.
I think i was USMC and at the start of the round just started runnin' at the hotel. Chucked a c4 over the fence where all the mec always are and blowed it, 3 kills. Waited about 5 secs, threw another one, 2 kills. Then rushed in, threw one on the little alley and waited, 2 kills again. Moved forward a bit and planted 1 at the corner where the ladder is. Waited again a little while, 1 kill this time only. Went up the ladder, planted one on the alley and waited again. 3 kills this time. Out of ammo, suicide run with my knife out to an enemy
Basically kept on doing that for the WHOLE round and at the end i just got it! At the same time we already had went to capture the suburb where EVERYONE was. Just be there where the most of the enemy infantry is.
About the dash-jump-throw-back-detonate thingie, i dont know how to do it the REAL way. Youd probably have to bind 2 keys together or something to make it work without placing atleast 1 c4 somewhere before or using the last pack. But anyway, here is how i do it:
1. Start dashing, preferably towards the enemy
2. Jump and throw the c4 in like 50 degree angle.
3. DONT PRESS THE RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON INSTANTLY!!! If you do so, it wont do anything and then you panic and press it like 10 times and during that time the enemy kills you or you both blow up.
4. After the throw, wait about 0.5 secs and THEN press the right mouse button. It wont switch detonator immediatly but it will do it automatically as soon as its possible.
5. Start pressing S right after you throw the back if you are going to detonate it quickly or youll kill yourself aswell.
6. BOOM, BABY BOOM!

This badge would be no problem if the "teammates" would look out for AT-mines.
Especially on the dark SF-maps you can definitely score with AT-mines,I guess I got about 10 kills with them but I got kicked in the process(the "I-got-a-friendly-mine-homing-device-up-my-ass"-people chose to punish me because they don't associate red skulls with death...).
Hell is other people!!!!

Sorry to burst your bubble m8 but your suggestion would only work if you had someone supplying you (which you did have) and depends on whether the enemy chooses to pay you a visit at the TV station - and that's not necessarily guaranteed unlike on Karkand where the majority of the USMC ALWAYS comes down one particular path which is why pretty much everybody suggests Karkand for the Explosives badge.Flasheart88 wrote:
As far as claymores go, I've been pretty close a few times on Sharqi Peninsula without even trying - I guard the TV station as a sniper, and lay claymores in the stairs leading up to the flag. I get a team mate to spawn as a supply guy and spam a few supply packs around, and then I just wait. You're certain to get a significant number of claymore kills that way, and if you're really trying, you probably could get the badge that way.
Although I think the Karkand option is a better one, I just wanted to advance a suggestion that didn't start with "Ok, join a Karkand server ..."
The other option that's been mentioned before is to strap C4 to a quad bike (ATV) and scoot around the warlord map looking for enemy cars and armour to smash into.
At the end of the day it depends on how you want to go about getting the badge. I didn't rely on a supply guy and feel much better in the sense that I did it all by myself. At the same time everyone to their own.
Oh and I'm not sure if strapping C4 onto a quad bike will count towards the BF2 badge. Some people have said that it doesn't count cos you're playing SF which is considered separate from BF2 when it comes to badges hence the SF badges.
Ermmm....get someone who's good with explosives to "borrow" your account for an hour or 2?polarbearz wrote:
I need to get my vet soon. Any ideas besides C4 tossing? I CANNOT do it.
Find a friend who will play support and you just put claymores everywhere he can keep giving you more and more.
Find a Karkand server with FF off though... Claymores and teammates have this... bond. They can't stand being away from each but they meet it all ends in tears... and a punish.

It should work, yesterday I got the Veteran SpecOps Combat,Veteran SpecOps Specialist and the Air Defense Ribbon playing Special Forces...you get all the awards,as far as I have experienced it!{HMS}_Sir_Del_Boy wrote:

I got mine using AT Mines on a 64 player Karkand. The weird thing was I didn't have a single TK that round...
I've been having trouble with this badge forever too...
I try to do what people on here tell me to try, but I still come up short...

If all else fails then get our good mate Esker here to help you out. Not only will he support you in your glorious quest for greatness but he will also sacrifice his life by distracting the enemy so that your epic crusade goes unhindered. Tally ho!Esker wrote:

The reason is ever so simple. HAX!deject wrote:

Forgive me for saying this but when you put the exclamation mark! at the end of "as far as I have experienced it!" it sounds as if you just got laid for the 1st time in your life, lolMj.Blindfisch wrote:

Lmao you sir need to go to bed
I just wanted to point out that you seem to get the normal BF2 awards in SF too,my sex-life is none of your business!{HMS}_Sir_Del_Boy wrote:

;-)
I got mine by using the delicate art of using Tactical Mobile Explossives Platforms (Jihad Jeeping where you don't blow yourself up in the process)
1. Put 1 (just one) c4 on the front corner of the passenger side of the jeep.
2. switch to the detonator.
3. Drive the jeep until you find an enemy.
4. Bail out of the jeep and run backwards and to the left from your car (getting as far away from the passenger side as possible in the half second your have until the enemy runs away).
5. Push the button.
This will blow up infantry, transports, and damaged apcs. You can put on more than one pack of C4 but remember that with every additional pack you increase the chance of killing youself.

OMG I R TEH HAXX0RZ! seriously though, I was like WTF how has no teammate run over my mines? I was shocked even.{HMS}_Sir_Del_Boy wrote:

Perfect Solution:
"Hey,enemy team, why don't you all gather at the hotel for a nice group-picture,I've got the detona....ehhh..camera."

can't imagine how i would feel if i finally did manage to get this darn badge only for it NOT to show up on the stats!
have put this badge on the back burner until i get my vet armour.
Besides just earning badge, what is the purpose of getting it? Maybe I missed the boat but you don't need the Ordnance (correct spelling, BTW) badge for any of the medals. You need the knife and pistol to get some of the medals (Combat Infantry Medal, Marksman Infantry Medal, Sharpshooter Infantry Medal) but what exactly does the Ordnance Badge lead to?
to fill that blank gap in between the rest of the shiny stuff. lolGunny_Prixxon wrote:

yeah, that is bothering me too
I finally got it! the basic last week and the vet last night! screw c4....... claymores are the way to go!
as a price for getting the vet however, i had a teamscore of -28 and 9 more deaths than kills. but wtf, it was worth it!
