case fans

Ok tomorrow Ill be cleaning out the tower and making it dust free, while I have it open, I have an extra case fan that I wanted to put in. The problem is, I dont know if i want it blowing air in, or sucking hot air out.

If im not mistaken my 2 back fans blow in, and the one on the side blows out. Ill be installing the new one on the front, so which way should it go?

i think the 2 back fans usually blow out hot air. Dont forget adding too much fans can actually make the computer run hotter due to the fact you could "disrupt" the airflow.

You generally want to have the front fans suck in cool air and the back fans push hot air out. The side fan should be pulling cool air in and the top fan should be pushing hot air out.

Yeah, having the side fan as an intake can help get cool air to your video card, as well as the rest of your system.

i contributed to the emotional state of all readers through my original post. they benefited in one of two ways:
1. they laughed
2. they did not laugh and feel better about themselves by mentally bashing my contribution and my effectiveness to the forum(s).

If you want to cool it, Then face it to bring air in.
