Medals = more points?

Hi peeps.

Do you get more global points for unlocking medals?

I'm on 1999 points out of 2500 to earn my next rank. If I concentrate on unlocking the basic medals, will this give me the next rank quicker, or dose it not matter?

nope, it doesnt matter. medals are purely for show and in some cases, getting a higher rank (first sergeant and sergeant major).

Nah, but it looks cooler. Plus like ThomasMorgan says, it let's you go for First Sergeant and Sergeant Major ranks.
