i decided between drogba and eto'o, i wanted to keep with the top 5, and not top 61927 wrote:
Interesting to see nobody has nominated Drogba. He has stopped his diving and scored nearly off of Chelski's goals quite a lot at crucial times for them. African Footballer of the year aswell.
1. George Best - simply the best midfielder around at his time, not many can compare to him
2. Ronaldinho - he could kill you with skill overdose awesome
3. Christiano Ronaldo - I dont think there are any defenders that could consistently stop him, he has pace skill and a sweet shot.
4. John Terry - THE BEST defender around and will be for many years to come a fine example of a british footballer
5. Peter Schemeicel (spelling ?) - again he has been the best keeper in a long time and was crucial to united's success in the late 90's
2. Ronaldinho - he could kill you with skill overdose awesome

The ronaldinho vid is a fake
I thought it was profesional players at this time only. But if I could have dead players then Best would definetly be up there.surgeon_bond wrote:

Ok. Bias is something that reeks around here. But of course, I am biased as well.
First of all, Henry has been shit this year. The guy is the biggest arrogant prick I have met ( excuse the french ). The man thinks he is a god, when he clearly is not.
Now, for C.Ronaldo. He WOULD be one of the best players, if he did not put on the worst diving shows ever. The guy clearly practices. He is a real pussy who is scared of really getting stuck in, so he resorts to utterly pathetic, PRACTICED diving.
Now, for Drogba... clinical finisher. Very deadly. But can only finish, he cannot take on players, and he enjoy diving a bit too much.
Best strikers/attacking mids
I separated the players out because you cannot compare a defender to a striker. You have to give everyone in their position credit.

Best strikers/attacking mids
- Ronaldinho - clearly still the best, he has his bad days, but he is second top scorer and crafts things out of nothing
- Diego Milito ( Zaragoza ) - Such an amazing attacking midfielder with so much potential
- Messi - You may be thinking: "Why?" Because the man is 19, has his whole career ahead of him, and can rip apart any defender
- Miroslav Klose - Amazing. Deadly. Intelligent.
- Villa - The guy has skill, a lot of skill. Too bad he cannot express it all in Valencia.
- Iniesta - He is 23, is a ferocious young player. Has a lot of pace, changes the gameplay of the game completely. Has some voley and shot on him.
- Ryan Giggs - the man still has his touch and talent, a great, effective and fair player for Man U
- Deco - who would not put him in here? The player is incredible, has won best midfielder in the world and still never ceases to impress
- Xavi - best passer. ever.
- Arjen Robben - I love this guy. His pace, his agility, his eye for a good pass. Everything.
- EITHER Puyol or Terry - I think they are on par. Both have their moments of glory and of failure.
- Steve Finnan - Solid as a rock, consistent and great on the ball
- Rio Ferdinand - great defender.
- Gianlucca Zambrotta - His pace up the side may not be agreat factor for defending, but he can hold any player down and can out pace most players.
- Not really sure. Was going to put Cannavaro, but after his late attrocious performances..... well, he ain't good any more.
