Shock paddle a gas tank?

I wondered if anyone has ever blown themselves up by shock paddling a gas barrel or tank?

I tried it on Karkand as single player but it did not work. In the previous thread, they mentioned success by using a knife.

In the real world, I don't think it would work unless there was enough oxygen or the current was HUGH!

Find an iron gator server with ff on and go for it! In the hanger bay is the best place.

I've knived gas tanks and they never blow, and yes in real life it is possible(in theory i think) to make a gas tank explode but its very unlikely. A spark is hot enough to ignite the gas if you hit it right...not that ive ever tried. I know that we have shot gas containers with m1 garands, put a flare next to it, and shot it to hell. Huge explosion.

Damn it! I went back on iron gator and i could not make it blow again. I dont understand i blew it once before with the knife was it a bug? I'm gonna try it again be back soon.

I would think the current would be carried on the outside of the barrel to the ground, and wouldn't ignite the gasses inside unless the current heated the metal to the point that IT ignited the gas...

Im almost positive Ive done it in game with a knife, though it takes a bit....find out how much damage it takes, then use a combo of pistol and knife shots to get it close, then try hitting it with your knife a few times if you really wanna prove/disprove.

Wrong..

You CANNOT destroy a gas tank/oil barrel doing that..

I have the frap files to prove it.

I think I heard the only way to explode a vessel of flammable liquid is to use ammo with a tracer. So pretty much what you said.

I like the 'damage' it with a gun then stick it. Some go try this with the SHOCK PADDLE, please!

@Vicktor I think your right. I think that it may be possible....maybe...but very very unlikely in real life. IM going to go try it in game with knife and shock paddles.

If anyone wants to know, a gas tank has 150 health, whereas a soldier only has 100

so... yeah

idk how much damage a knife does though, i think they just programmed it to kill when it hits

ya, im almost sure u cant, u probably thought u did it once because somebody shot the barrel while u were standing there knifing it.
