I was looking though some screenshots on the site and one was of the graphic settings page of bf2 and they had the 8x aa option in there but mine only goes upto 4x in the bf2 ingame settings. so i clicked on the nvidia control panel icon next to my computer clock and i tried to select 8x aa in there but it doesnt select whats going on here? my video card is a leadtek 7950gt and i have the disc drivers that came with it installed (if its a driver problem).

And btw is there another way to open the nvidia control panel because the only way i can get into it is by clicking the little icon on the bottom right of my task bar.

Just select it, and in ingame it will appear as 8X AA.

It's there... Coz you had it differently in game, so it'll mess up the panel a bit.

It's there... Coz you had it differently in game, so it'll mess up the panel a bit.

No i mean in the control panel its there but it wont let me select it ill try to get a screnshot to explain it brb.

That's not how you want to do it. Go into the Nvidia control panel, go into 3d settings then take it from there. That tiny little menu doesn't have all the options in. I can put my card upto 16xQ AA, but only 4x AA from that little list you're using.

In that case update/reinstall your drivers.

(Making sure to delete the old ones first)

Well the thing is when i right click on the small icon mine is exactly the same except it doesnt have that desktop nview option thing at the top and where it says nvidia control panel it does nothing when i click it i have no idea why it does this... btw i have a samsung syncmaster aswell lol.

Edit: i havent installed the drivers for my monitor does this have anything to do with the control panel not opening up?

Click the advanced button and then select the tab that has your GPU model name in it from the new window

I ran 4x with my 7950gt but I noticed bad fps every now and then so I don't use AA at all. There's nothing worse than bad frame rate when you try to shoot an enemy.

And wtf does nvidia have with that control panel, it's totally gay! I wan't to puke everytime I see it. I haven't yet found an option in the gay panel to remove nvidia icon from tray or the integration from shell (when you right-click desktop there is a nvidia option). The right click I hate because the screen will blink black everytime I right click and that just pisses me off.

i run 4x aa 16x af on all high settings with 80-100fps?? with my 7950gt at 1280x1024 res

I had the blinking problem too with my old GPU. And you can disable the tray icon and shell menu if you go to the tools form the left and unselect the two top ticks from there.

(If you're using the new control panel, change it to the old style)

Yes, I know. Just forgot to mention it. I had big problem with this when I installed a really new driver, there nvidiots had removed the old style control panel (where you can actually do something). So I installed an older driver where it was still there.

I don't get it why they make those gay interfaces with huge icons, i the new control panel there are three icons in the main window. wtf, I'm not blind ffs, I wan't the old style with texts that doesn't fill half the screen with huge icons
