Under a persons stats page, the photo of the kit they use most often the guy pictured is holding either a pistol or the kits main uh, assault apparatus.  But why? I thought it was because maybe they used pistol more, but its not. It seems to be a random thing? For instance this guy: 83338109 is anti-tank, and is wielding the pistol. But has more kills with machine guns and shotguns. While this guy who is also anti-tank : 43486187 has the AT rocket in his photo which makes sense because its most used.

It should be based on the weapon used with the kit with most kills right?

Well my friend here : 68084199  is an engy and has a pistol in his photo, but has more kills with the shotgun. And I've seen other engy's have shotgun in their photo.

By the way I do have a point to all this, and a question which is this :  When I get 10 more hours in as engy and my photo changes I don't want to have a measly little pistol! How will I be certain the shotgun is pictured?

What the hell, any idea?

Have shotguns as your most used. Anti-tank guys are normally equipped with SMG's, so the game only had soldier images for Anti-tank with them holding their SMG's, not the DAO-12. It's just DICE's designing in the stats tracking; a shotgun is a shotgun is a shotgun. An SMG is an SMG is an SMG. Etcetera. If it tracked each individual weapon like 2142, you'd see a shitload of MEC soldiers holding NATO weaponry (G36E).

ya there are only pictures of kits holding standard weapons like pistol, knife, and the default primary (ie, mp5 for US AT). So if your most used weapon is something different than the primary in your most used kit, it just shows your most used kit with its secondary weapon (ie, pistol).

to directly answer your question, if you want your picture to be of a shotgun, then make sure your most used kit is engy AND that youve used the shotgun more than any other infantry weapon (like pistol, assault rifle or LMG). If youve used any other weapon more than the shotgun then your pistol will show up in place of that weapon (because dice never rendered an engineer with an assault rifle, for example).

Why does the small most used weapon image show the FAMAS then on my stats page?
Is that a BF2s specific thing?

Ok so i got 863 kills with shotgun, and 869 kills with pistol, but 3690 kills with machine guns... I have 4 hours until I have more time with engy. So I have to get more kills then the pistol or more then machine guns with my shotgun?

Its the pic designated to display the SMGs.

You need more time with the shotgun than you do with any other weapons for it to display.

Thanks for the tips guys, I'll have to work on the time factor. You all know when your an engy you tend to stick to vehicles you can pawn in

u are noticing a little error with bf2s.com there. the pictured weapon isnt the FAMAS assault rifle (which wouldnt be an smg), but instead its the chinese qbz carbine. it should show an mp5, type whatever the hell (chinese), or a pp19 if its the submachinegun pic. oh well. the same error is on the weapon wiki page. additionally the icon for carbines is an AK 47 assault rifle when it should be the ak74 m4 or qbz. oh well.

thats not a famas thats a QBZ-97 Carbine
