I don't see how the Booster packs are ripping us off. It's just another product, you can choose to buy them or not. Those who don't can still enjoy BF2 and kill people who do have the Booster Packs. Those who do have the Booster Packs can enjoy having a couple of new maps, veichles, armies and weapons.

Besides, it's not all that expensive. For you Americans it's about eight dollers or something isn't it? I'm sure you can swallow your pride and buy it just for the simple enjoyment of it. Who cares that EA profits by a couple of dollars?

I understand that maybe you're pissed off because if you don't buy it you don't get the new AT gun or new Sniper rifle. As we found out with SF, the unlocks arn't nessisarily better than the normal BF2 ones, just an alternative. I'm sure you'll still be able to kill people who buy the Booster packs.

Edit: Those of you who are feeling exploited and caught up in the politics of 'They're pretty much forcing us to buy these,' - if you were simply out for a good time and didn't care about the politics of it, would you buy it for the fun of it? That's where I am right now. Sure I see that they're forcing us to buy these, (kind of,) but the thing is there will be new maps weapons etc. for me to enjoy and $10 or not, i am going to enjoy them.

Couldnt handle?  Not sure what you are eluding too there but I wasnt aware that prefering one game to another gave you some sort of status.  Maybe among the geeks of the world whose life revolves around gaming that may be true, but in my world I play what I enjoy and did not enjoy CS.

OK, you asked for it.  EA bought Trauma Studios, not the DC Devs.  You can't just buy off a Dev team... unless of course they're dedicated enough to put stocks on the market

And they're not trying to stop the modding community... I know the official EA mod co-ordinator personally (he designed BFP for BF1942 and is helping with the BF2 version)
