Is it just me or are there a huge number of medics that are totally incapable of reviving?

Started Karkand (i was the first to die by a great grenade potshot) and i died after about 8 seconds - nothing to be proud of.  So anyway there i was lying on the floor screaming for a medic, with about 12 medic markers on the peripherals telling me plenty of aid was close by.

The 15 seconds passed and i counted 11 medics run past me before one finally tried to help - missed and i had to respawn.

But seriously - how many medics JUST WILL NOT REVIVE PEOPLE???

I'd like to know if anyone else shares the same opinion. Thats all...

I think there is lot more liability involved with the medical practice today, which will lead to more and more medics just not wanting to get involved.

i once follow a support unit from factory to square asking for ammo cos he wouldn't give it to me

when we got there and he stopped moving he ask "why u follow me?"

i pulled out my pistol and shot him, picked up his bloody kit, dropped ammo for myself, pick up my medic kit and then revived him, then picked up my magic ammo bag,

the morale of the story is....

"kill em, and do it ur bloody self, then if u feel polite enough (which most of the time i don't) medic them"

lol he was "wtf u shoot me for?" and i said "cos ur fucking dumbass who doesn't know how to play this game u retard, all i fucking wanted was a bloody ammo pack off u and i followed u across the map for it! so i wasn't going without it!!!!!"

Medics have to make sure the area is clear enough so that
A) They do not die.
B) If not they get some kills.
So that means some of the time medics deem that it is not worthwhile reviving you.

I usually trow nades/c4 on the bodies and wait for the medics. Sometimes it`s not a very good idea to revive people you know...

If i revived you or not would depend on where it was you died....

For example, if you were in the corugated area south of hotel, me trying to revive you would be a death wish, and it was your fault for been stupid enough to run through there in the first place.

However.... If there was a chance on your getting revived, I would have done.

But the thing that annoys me is that people complain at medics for reviving you, only to get killed by the enemy that they didnt kill.

I have had this done to me before, so i always make sure i clear out the immediate area first, to give me the time to revive you, and for the time for both of us to get away.

So the times that i do clear the enemy out, and maybe get killed, or then do not have enough time to revive you, it really annoys me to find that the person complains for me not been a team player, for not revvivng them.

Medics have a tough job,

I play medic specifically for running around reviving and healing people, to the point of only using the gun if nobody needs help.
Of course, it IS a very nice gun.

In all honesty, when I medic whore, I revive in this order:
  • The squad leader - No squad leader = no spawn point = no backup = fucked.
  • Squadmates - Usually, I'll have the squad of people who actually know what to do and will actually get out of prone as quickly as possible in order to say "Thanks, I owe you one!"
  • Other medics - Heal a medic, let 'em join in on the fun.
  • Support guys - Machine guns can serve pretty well for cover fire, giving them kills, and me revives. It's a win-win situation.
  • (Depending on the server)Anti-tank - Tank + (anti-tank + medic whore) = /win for anti-tank
  • People run over by armor whores - Heh, I feel sorry for these guys.
  • Victims of snipers - M16A2s/G36Es are pretty damn good at picking off snipers while on single-shot mode. Besides, at least I'll see/hear the tank coming if it tries to run me over, as opposed to snipers.
  • Sniper bitches - Usually located on the hilltop near the U.S. artillery in Karkand. Typically killed by nade-spamming support guys/noob-tubing assault guys (the ones who can shoot over a distance) before even getting a shot off.
  • Sniper whores - The main difference between sniper bitches and snipers whores is that sniper whores are the ones who usually give themselves up to their own claymore in a desperate attempt to get some kills. Come to think about it, I think I'll teabag 'em first before reviving 'em. This category also includes enemy snipers who decide to camp one spot.

That's my list.

cowami good list.  I agree

somebody else said the won't revive if somebody ran into a dangerious area and was killed " it's their own fault, death wish.. etc"  I agreed with this for a while. But now I view these types of situations as a challenging oppertunty.  Frequently the dead guy got off a few rounds and, hopefully, injured the person who killed them.  I try to get in there quick, finish the job and get the revive...  4pts.

Also, I see the medics run by dead bodies.  I can't help myself, I'm a confirmed medic whore, I just see it as points laying on the ground.  Get on a 64 man IO karkand and it's like non-stop points everywhere.  Tickets are another factor.  I like to win.  If my team is kept alive = we win.  (hopefully)

and spell check isn't working.. sorry for the mistakes.

I agree and dissagree...
There are a lot of people who really suck at medic, and just wanna heal up after firefight.

But as a squad medic its your job to keep the squad as priority...If you died they most likely had a good shot on you, and with the counter only being 15 seconds they aren't far.  (Medics NEED smoke grenades, more then assault even.)

Some of the time you may not notice that the medic is trying, but they have to clear the area first. A dead medic cant revive ANYONE.

Also if they are not in your squad they may just have to ignore you.The only place I play medic now adays is in PR, but alot of the time we just can't legitimately get to you with out leaving our squad. As the squads medic you can't just run off every time some one calls, there is always some one somewhere. Don't get me wrong, If your right there or got killed behind cover by a nade or what ever I will try and help you...

But really if you want a medic, you need to join a squad and work with them. If no squad is willing to work together start your own and force them to,

LMAO! Thats great man. Im suprised being the noob he was that he didnt just shoot you the second you revived him, rather than asking you why.

I hate it too that medics ignore you sometimes but as people have pointed out, not all people are good medics, so you just have to get over it and find those medics that do play the kit properly.

FYI when I play as medic I always stick with my squad, I always revive the squad leader and I always make sure to keep the entire squad on as much health as possible. When a squad has a sniper, an AT, a medic and a support in it that are working together and working well, it's a formidable unit indeed.

p.s. What was the punchline to the joke "how many medics does it take to revive a dead soldier"?... was it 11? "10 to ignore him and 1 to arrive too late"?

Thats all good to an extent, but the reason they made squads, voip, support classes (and the points for supporting actions), commanders ect.. ect... is because it is supposed to be a team game. Its a bit like saying "Hey I paid to join the AYSO, if I want to just practice juggling the ball in the middle of the game just let me be"

Sure you paid for the game and have a right to enjoy it....But we paid for the game too, and wish you wouldn't take away from the way WE enjoy it (as a team)

most people play medic with the mentality of "i'm assault with medpacks"

i hate people like that, when i'm medic, it's revive first, kill later
