For the first one, overdosing on Tylenol or Advil might do the trick. For the second one, look up "Omega drivers".

Thats what I figured =p I had a nifty program someone made me, very simple. You enter in the names of processes you want it to end, then run it and it'll kill them. Pretty cool for gaming, but unfortunately it wasn't sophisticated enough to detect when a game starts up so it ends the non-critical processes, then opens them when the game closes.

As for either programs, you shouldn't have problems with either. Although frankly I only recommend the Official drivers. End it All should be fine though.

Or you just go into task manager and remove them that way, wouldn't that be faster than typing each one, running it, and then removing it?

I used to use End It All on my old machine. Worked fine, no problems. But if you're using antivirus software they might have issues with each other if you try to end the AV software with it.

you can also use 'msconfig'.

XP Smoker

thats a much better program

it shuts down all the crap that is not necassary, disables performance counters

processes idle task

there is also a feature especially for gaming on there

there is an activate game boost button and it feeds as much mem, gpu and cpu power that your pc can handle

its much better than any other program i have come across

also has some nice other features like a broadband optimizer

come to mention it i dont think there is anyother program like this one

it truly is the dogs nuts

as for the drivers, i never use tweaked ones

they cause problems

I use "End It All" everytime just before I play BF2. It works great because I can Shut Down &/or Kill 15 programs(or as many as you request) w/a total of 5 clicks of my mouse - unlike 'msconfig' or the ' task manager'. The only thing it wont shutdown or kill is 'Zone Alarm Pro' so I shut that down manually.
I got it when it was free but I think they just started charging for it.

But now thanks to 'Zero!.' I'm gonna try 'XP Smoker 5.2' & see if that works even better. From what I just read here & on the web it sounds pretty cool!
