would this be a good choice? I'm looking for something 24" wide screen with great quality for gaming.

My graphics is an 8800GTS so I should be able to support this fine.

thats actaully a very very nice screeeeen, goood choice. good contrast resolution and fast 6ms Response Time
if you can afford it then you will not be dissapointed.

and yess 8800GTS will support that fine

In all seriousness, that is a very nice monitor for a very nice price also. Go for it, widescreen is the way nowadays. Can't wait to get my one

Edit: Yes, a 60Hz RF at over 1900+ is absolutely fine!

get the dell 24...great monitor, best out there really. dont let cheap imitations throw you! (also, the sceptre is only 22", if you want a 22, get the dell 22 via costco..only 295). the dell 24" is a beast monitor...pimp factor galore. dell is the second best maker of monitors out there (imo, apple makes the best, but they are bloody expensive).

Thats only 22" and has a max res of 1680 x 1050, whearas a 1920x1200 monitor is good not only for 1080i movies but also is a 16:10 so you get to put your action bar below the picture itself.

You do realize that Dell does not make monitors, and simply rebadges another manufacturer's.
