Headphone decision

I play 90% of the time with headphones (not a head set).
I want to get some new ones, the ones I have now are big and have probably sustained damage along the way.

This is what I am thinking about picking (not going to buy from BestBuy per say)

I tried these out at a store and they were great, sounded pristine and feel goo on the ears.

but ...

What's the Sennheiser (or other brand) equivalent? By equivalent, I also mean the similar cup design.

If you clean your ears occasionally, the headphones won't feel goo anymore.

Actually I will use those "earwax candles" occasionally, but they make you hearing hyper sensitive for about 3 days.

just a question like that.... if you dont have a headset wit mic etc... wath do you do when you wanna use the voip... ?

and for the headphone your talking about.. they look nice but i think the price is a bit 2 high, im sure you can found some good ones for less then 100 $

I rarely use VOIP, reason: when I'm playing most of the time everyone is sleeping. For those rare occasions where I want to verbally abuse someone/be verbally abused, my mic on my web cam suffices). Correct me if I wrong, if you have a usb headset, you aren't using your sound card.

True on the price, I've seen some Senneisers for around $100, but their products are boxed up .. so I was wondering if anyone could attest to them.

They sound much better than any headphones I've tried at LAN parties. And You don't get warm ears.
I recommend them. Earphones > headphones in my opinion...

BTW: talking to Your clan members (Teamspeak) or squad (VoIP) is a lot of fun

I got these for my iPod http://www.bose.com/controller?event=VI … ones_index . If you don't need a mic they should work well. There are lots of places that have demos of them (Like at CompUSA). The sound is incredible. Just try them and you can thank me later .

Edit:..lol I just clicked your link. Those headphone are awesome.
