No, what would suck is if they let everyone who had sf use their ziplines and grappling hooks when the reg bf2ers couldnt.
Yeah, they do. If you manage to kill one, you can pick up their kit and use them too. I don't know if this is true, but I think if you kill a support gunner who has the expansion pack, you can use the teargas launcher in their kit, you have no way to defend yourself from it however so be careful. The people who have the expansion pack have gas masks too.
Actually, I managed to pick up the expansion pack assault kit off some dude that I killed and it looks like they replaced smoke grenades with flashbangs.SharkyMcshark wrote:
Ill go out on a limb here and agree with uber73 - a bit. The new guns are not really that much to get worked up over seeing as tey are only meant to offer an alternative to the bf2 unlocks, not to replace them, but I do agree that the flashbang should either be introduces for all or left out. This is because A gun is a gun, and something like a scar can easily be stopped with a g36c, or a g3 or something, but the flashbang has no counterpart in BF2 to compete with it.

The SF patch does make the game unbalanced. If they wanted to incorporate SF into BF2, then why not have servers that play all maps and just load the kit abilities per map. BF2 doesn't even show all the medals and such that you earn while in SF so why are my SF weapons valid in BF2? Don't get me wrong, I loves me some G36E all day! I guess IMO that the 1.12 patch should have given everyone new toys and then SF could have been more maps. I really think the SF maps are much more exciting to play on so once word spread, lots of people would have bought the new maps. Similiar to their current European and Pacific?(I forget) maps.
Look at it this way, isn't it the best revenge when someone snipes you that you can spawn as sniper and pop him back? Same for the c4; someone blasts you but you still have the CP so you spawn with c4 and blow his nice new tank. With the flashbangs, there is no recourse unless you have SF. It's not like the G36E is an unlock that you can eventually earn through effort.
My $0.02.

I only ever get flashbanged by team mates. Fact.
I don't know,a cheap blowjob or a pretty expensive handjob I guess... ;-DHorseman 77 wrote:
Worth 30 bux and I only play 1,2 times a week. What else can you get for $30 ?
It didn't really bother me that those who have SF get extra unlocks. The only unlock that seems to me to have a real advantage is the G36E. I don't think they should have had flashbangs transfer over, though. IMO that was a mistake on their part.
As to the SF content, I think it kicks ass. IMO, tanks and helos don't dominate in the SF maps like they can on some vanilla maps. Plus, no jet bombing! I also like the night maps. Anyway, IMO worth the $30.
