BF2S Forums HELP!!! How do i change my refresh rate outside of bf?

Go ty My Documents/Battlefield 2/Profiles/Default and open video.con file with notepad. You can see next line there: VideoSettings.setResolution 1280x1024@85Hz (that resolution and refresh rate can be differend of course) and change that refresrate to 60hz (in my ex. to VideoSettings.setResolution 1280x1024@60hz). Then go to My Documents/Battlefield 2/Profiles/0001 and do same for video.con file in that folder too. After that just run your game as normal.

I just can't even imagine how some one can play BF2 or use Windows with refresh rate of 60hz.. I can't under 85hz.

Hey, tried that a didnt seem to change anything. Still get the background music but a black screen . And i dont have a profiles/001 just a default folder. *scream*

if you don't have 0001 folder it mean that you haven loged in with your account with that computer yet. But as long as there's refresh rate of 60hz in video.con file game should work (or then it's not working because some other reason). You can also delete whole video.con file so you'll get default video settings. And wooly-back-back: that's just for Windows and I think that wlater12 knew it already and it won't help with game.
