There are two versions of 8-pin connectors and the older ones are INCORRECT. You can also make a 8-pin connector from two 6-pin connectors with adapter. Because the next gen graphic cards will use these new connectors I recommend buying a PSU that has 8-pin pci-e connectors if you are looking for a new PSU.
