Alright, I admit I'm a new player. I got the game and played it for about a week before trying it online. I expected to totally get my ass killed left and right like I do at any other game where there are obsessed fatties playing it day in and day out. I found that for a beginner, I'm not that bad at all. People were not killing me from nowhere, I felt everything was fair... In fact, I didn't even run into all the usual bullshit everybody else complains about (and they all seem like valid complaints of jumping and tking etc) nor any of the 'base raping' (which if I did, I wouldn't bitch... it's part of winning). So all in all, I had a total friggin' blast.
So, I'm thinking "If I can survive alright online, then I'm ready for the hardest mode on single-player!". I don't have internet all of the time yet so sometimes I work with what I have (ie single player). I have found, for the first time ever, the hardest opponents are the bots on hardest mode. For example, I can't even win on the island map (the one with the US in the north on a seperate land mass and the MEC down below with three bases to start) as the USMC. I keep playing it over and over and over. I always get the best score and the most kills yet we always lose. I've tried being solo, being in a squad, leading a squad, and being the big bossy guy with the artillery... and I pick just about every kit to help my zombie-like team mates. Nothing works! They always seem to know where you are and all have the most insane aim. I'm talking like a support gunner on a hill top far away killing me in a three round burst. NOBODY I've encountered online can do that and a lot of the guys I looked up on the servers were very high in their stats so I know I wasn't playing with fellow new guys (I will not say noob... or 3l887... or any other craptastic acronyms you may use to make yourself sound and feel special).
I'm only writing this because I think EA should have a couple of servers where it's just players against ultra hard bots. I'm getting soooo much better just playing against them. Any thoughts or perhaps news of them doing this?
