BF2S Forums 1-Weapon only Servers

well if it was ranked there's no way they could have kicked someone using all his/her weapons - not unless they wanted their ranked status removed
so if it is enforced it is breaking the EULA with EA

if the players decided to do that by themselves - well thats free choice, no harm in that

There were no admins on the server, I mean its a mutual understanding to only use the (for example) pistol.
Hell we even had a "Rocket Launcher" only round, wich whas fun . If you wanted to use your full kit, fine. You wouldnt be banned/kicked or whatever.
Btw, the server whas ranked..

noobs. . . nobody can stop you from using 1 weapon . .what if everyone joined a server with the intention of trying for a badge. . .they would all be doing the same thing. . even if they didnt talk to each other or anything. . .like im currently trying for my expert pistol . If i join a server using only my pistol, no admin is going to make me use a shotgun. I dunno about you guys, but I live in a free country and I'll use what weapon when and where I like.

Why does it bother you? It does not affect you or your stats. It is allowed by EA. EA only interferes if the server admins force people to obey it. If you really don't like it, then hop on their server and kill them all with a tank if it makes you feel better about yourself. If they kick you for it then go report them. There's nothing you can do about it if they all agree to have sniper battles or knife fights. They paid $50 for the game like everyone else, so leave them alone.

Also on that server you can get KNIFES only thats fun


But for the recond we were not admins to the server people still used tanks and rifles an all that so thats it also if you dont like it SUX it trebek and move server

I have to admitt, the fact that everybody whas playing 1 weapon only, whas the best teamwork I ever saw in this game . It sure gave me new reasons to play the game.

Btw just for the record, when everybody whas knifing eachother (the road infront of hotel whas one big shank fest) I just HAD TO PULL OUT MY PKM .

I think it's fine...as long as everybody agrees to it and plays by those rules...I say, no big deal.  I've been on them however where there is an admin, and if he sees someone kill someone else with something other than the knife/pistol/shock paddles...whatever the round may be...he will kick them from the server.  That's the way I like to play those rounds.  Some freaking moron thinks it's funny to blow everyone away with a tank while the rest of us are trying to knife it up.  Face it, knife fighting is freaking hilarious and entertaining...I see nothing wrong with it...even if it's on a ranked server. 
BTW, I'm 24, not 15...and the word noob or noobtube...or dolphin diving...bunnyhopping...etc, tends to be used by 15 year olds who masterbate to their stats page.  If someone bunnyhops out of my way when I'm firing at them...more power to them for getting away.  I'll just chuck a grenade at them and blow them up that way...what's the big deal?...IT'S A GAME...use the flaws to your advantage, don't complain about them!!  If someone in Karkand starts using the GL and nothing else, respond to them with either your GL...or a tank.  Just my 2 cents.

hell yes it is legal. ranked or not. the server isn't set up for pistols only, so if everyone, or almost everyone agrees to it, then who gives a shit.

if having a pistol only round sounded good to everyone at the time, then what the fuck....why not.

i have got in on a sniper only match, and a couple of pistol/knives/defib matches on a 64 player server. it was probably the best time i had playing. not that i got alot of kills, or badges or anything, just 60+ guys in a group hopping, slashing, shooting, and defibin the shit outta everyone. there were a couple of guys that were getting massive kills by toobin all of us that were gathered up. it was hilarious. i didn't get mad about them tubin, if they didn't want to have the fun the rest of us were then fuckem. they missed out.

that's a good god damn time right there, i don't care who you are.


enjoy the "only" matches. like someone else said, the people that play along with that are doing the best teamwork. same team or not.

meh, I donno if you would call this 'stat padding' or not, I assume so though.  Theres nothing wrong with 2 ppl trying to pistol eachother, but I don't agree with making everyone do it.
