It is one of the absolute funniest movies of all time. It is set during the cold war and pokes fun of M.A.D. - mutually assured destruction.
ever seen that famous scene where that guy is riding a bomb towards the earth? that's the movie. At one point, a platoon from a U.S. army base is trying to invade a nearby U.S. airforce base and they are shooting at each other, the bullets are ripping apart a billboard near the base that says "Peace is our Profession."
"Mr. President, did you say that the russian ambassador is coming here? to the war room? Well, I must object, i mean, he'll see everything! HE'LL SEE THE BIG BOARD!"
