X-fire is very popular and good for finding servers for BF2. Unfortunately X-fire doesn't agree with me or my system. It gives me nothing but problems.

The in-game server finder is a joke, as everyone knows.

What I do when I log on, is check my clans server for activity then check BF2sUS for activity.

If neither is doing anything, I tend to venture over to BF2 Tracker. Over there, you can click on server list and you'll get a huge list of servers for BF2.

At the bottom is a filter. Pick your country and your map, and click search. The lists populates with only those maps. You can see the server options, who is playing and what the scores are. Pick the one you want and roll on in. I jot the IP on my scratch pad and Im ready to go.

I never figured out why X-fire craps out on me but this is what I found that gets me on servers I want to play on.

What do you do? X-fire I assume.

I often check out www.game-monitor.com

Very useful for me in deciding whether to play vanilla/SF/EF/AF i.e. if my fav servers are populated
