I would not recommend buying the same game again waste of money try finding a cd key generator for bf2. not sure if all of the server will let you play with a generated cd key, also u can give it a shot by looking on ebay and see if anyone sels any cd-keys there.
oh nm just found this out
So they will NEVER work where a valid key (verified by logging into some secure service/server etc.) is needed to join an online game. The key they create can only be used to install the game locally (single player or LAN) not for online (internet) play.
so you might have to buy a copy

They can. Should be no problem at all as long as you don't try to play simultaneously on both machines. I've done it and I know a bunch of other guys here have too.iceman785 wrote:

Was the problem during installation or when you tried to log in? SF, vanilla or both?
P.S.
Use descriptive and appropriate titles when creating a thread. Titles such as, “Help!” “OMG WHAT DO I DO!!?1?@” and “L4m3rS Ar3 5tup1D…” will not generate helpful responses, and ultimately cause more work for users trying to find threads on a given topic.
glasses thicker than milkbottles? fingers fatter than keys? there should be no reason why you cant do the base install on any machine, its not like EA hack a record of the used keys to every machine in the world...you probably got them mixed up.
No. Generators (if they exist for bf2) dont work for online.blademaster wrote:

Best bet is to either uninstall bf2 from your old rig, or, buy a new copy...it isnt that expensive.
I had no problems installing SF on my comp when my brother already had it on his own.Todd_Angelo wrote:

We can both play it, no probelms (not simultaneously, of course).

AFAIK you can install the same copy on 2 different machines, but they cant be used to play online simutaneously.
CD key gens don't work. My friend tried with (someone elses) copy of BF2. It worked till he patched it, lol.
I'll put my money on you typing something wrong when putting the CD key in...
EDIT: title changed
Mcminty.
