Always! Always fire a vehicle weapon when possible. More fun for you. Get a couple friends in a DPV, lay on the horn and fire both machine guns as fast as possible.
yea i usally do the Lets Go Buf-a-lo chant from the sabers hockey team on the DPV horn...prolly nobody heard it before unless you live in western new york
Personally, I'll play "Somebody farted" (you know, that little chant that everyone knew as a kid) or I'll imitate the MEC commander saying "the enemy is in control" ("son molestia alashnipov", or something like that". it does my head in when people do it, especially with a low number of people on the server - as a pilot (with an xfi) I know how far the sound travels and I could be looking elsewhere or off angle to see it but I hear some twonk blazing the minigun I think 'ahhhh, fat birdie with lots of points on board' and you are going down in as little time as I can bank and gun you down.
Worse are the noobs on Wake that shoot at the tanks on shore - like hello, why not wave a big flag saying HERE WE ARE, TAKE POTSHOTS HERE with the pilot now taking even more evasive action as we are also now painted on the minimap as J10 fodder, every jeep/buggy/tank is throwng lead our way and the commander starts saving up his next arty strike for our north shore/beach arrival.
So just dont do it!! right?!

Its really annoying when your trying to get somewhere exercising a little bit of stealth and some n00b starts opening up with the damn thing. That goes for being in any vehicle when the gunner starts firing at nothing. Instantly alerts anyone nearby that wasn't aware of your presence before.

Yes I do. I also shoot negative targets when I'm a passenger in an apc or any vehicle with infinite ammo. It's fun. But recently I stopped because I got bored of it. When I was newbie definitely yes. I guess my answer would be, I used to do it.
