books
phone (get a GSM phone and you can get a sim card in almost any country)
a power converter
sleeping pills for the plane
wife
camera w/charger
So far I've been lucky and haven't needed any "stool-hardening" products.
Oh, the thread did say one thing, right? I guess the most import thing is sleeping pills for the plane. I cannot sleep on a plane without prescription-strength assistance.

300mm works for me. And a bunch of P&S: me, wife, eldest son. Otherwise, I'll never end up in any of the shots.Marlboroman82 wrote:

I get you, but being a wildlife photographer (mainly birds), I can't live without it. With the right bag, it's actually very easy to carry around.Ilocano wrote:

I know fucking karate
You don't know how much that phrase makes my blood boil.Ilocano wrote:

1) My mom and dad are with Verizon Wireless, which uses fucking archaic technology. I'm not sure if it's archaic or not, but it sounds fucking outdated. Seriously, when your competitors and other nations (The entirety of Europe springs to mind) can do things like SIM cards, GSM, etc... THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG HERE. I love my Verizon TV and FiOS internet, I fucking hate Verizon's cell phone network. No, all the flashy Razrs and Chocolates in the world don't change the fact that your network is far behind the development of AT&T's, Sprint's, O2's, Orange's, etc.
2) I don't ever use my cell phone. It's a god damned paradox: My parents complain that my cell phone bill is too high; I never use it. Why they pay the flat-rate is beyond me, they could do pay-as-you-call and get charged maybe 1 buck a month. I rarely use the thing, as people rarely call or text me.
3) Which god damned network do I choose? Honestly, there's way too many choices. I love competition, I hate the decisions. Sprint, AT&T, Verizon all sound decent (Verizon's not bad if you don't pay attention to my rant a few lines above). So what do I choose? Lol.
That's why I hate cell phones with a passion. If I had a social life/friends who actually called me, and knew which fucking carrier to pick then I'd probably be like every other teen who's constantly sending text messages and yakking away on the cell phone and then wondering why they got a $100 ticket in the mail for using a cell phone while driving.
edit: Nothing personal meant by this by the way, I just needed to vent.

50 or more feet of climbing rope

My 'Finland' hat, a pair of sunglasses, and my Oxford sweatshirt.
Also, no need for electronics or any Canadian flags to signify that I'm not American.
