ive been looking at the antec 9 hundred or the P180B for my next case, both around the £70 mark (below and above), probably going to go for the 180 but im just waiting a little longer incase theres something else I can find because I want to replace all the standard 25x120 fans with decent 38mm ones without modifying them (which I would have to do to either of the above) but used as-is either would be an excellent gaming case with room for a decent sized raid array

I used one of those for my last build. Previously, I would always use the Antec Sonata. I thought the 180 was not as nice in terms of construction but it is well enough for the price. I've got 4 120mm fans in it and it is pretty quiet. Its worth the money.

I have a Tt Shark.
Extremely good cooling, with the bloody great hole in the side, and it's possible to attach fans to it if you want. Price-wise, I don't know how much it would be, as there aren't many places selling it nowadays.
A very good case if you can find it.

Thanks for all your help guys.

I'm now thinking of going with the Antec nine hundred case, seems good value for what you get.

It's enough I would think, the case is 50 cm long, 8800GTX is around a foot - 30cm. Depends on how long the drive bays extend I think.

lol i know what you mean, punch the case names into google and look for the tech reviews, theres plenty of them for both.

My problem with the 900 is the either/or fitting of the center fan, on the p180 im unsure about the low mounted psu design and both cases only fit a 25mm wide 120 at the front (drive cooling has become very important since the hot summer when I fried the whole array and lost tons of media )

but as I said im still looking but will probably end up with the 180 if nothing better comes up.

Just think that whichever case you get, this one will always own it in the face.

urm.....no

the side fan is not quick release, a real downer if you mess wth the insides a lot, and the cage wont fit a 38x120, it doesnt look like itll fit a 38x120 by the bays either, the cpu duct is worthless and for all that frickin money (double or more compared with the others mentioned here)  you still dont get toolless drive bays or a removable motherboard tray....fail!

Well finally made my mind and order the Antec nine hundred, along with the E6600 CPU and a new BenQ wide screen monitor (doh could help myself getting the extra stuff as well as the case).

Safe to say my lass wont be happy next Credit card bill.

Thanks all for the help given.

Check out how big it is?

Apart from that, I have one and have to say every one of those points is crazy. (except for the cage not fitting, not sure what you're talking about there) The installation was easy, there is more room than you could imagine to work in, every part in the case is quality and isn't going to fall apart, way more room for hard drives and even for two power supplies, quiet, and very cool.

It has a nice brushed aluminum finish that you can't see in the pictures too, it isn't a flat black.

well i know how annoying a gfx side fan is, but I have made mine to be quick release, your case takes 4! screws before I can even do anything, pain the azz....and when I say cage I mean the cage the side fan sits in, will not take a decent 38mm 120, its as useless as the cpu duct.

As for room, I dont need room for the sake of space, I can buy a big cardboard box if I want space......and as for two supplies, again, I dont need to run two supplies, so its wasted space and another function I dont need/cant use.  Functions I would use arent even supplied (removable tray/toolless install).

If I had watercooling it would be a great case, but I dont.  Overall, its over double the price (and dont forget, in rip-off-britain that means new its OVER $300 US ) for something that offers me no more benefit than ones less than half price.

Honestly I dont want to argue for the sake of it, just it really does not offer value for money to me.
