Nothing wrong with the Rifle/Pistol-combo. If it gets the job done, +2 to you. End of story.

Back when SF was still interesting I used it too, although the other way around. First a quick tap with the Pistol after which a nice .308 to body. Worked very nice on Ghost Town from the Lone Belltower

Pistols are vital.

If you close range snipe and use a bolt action you need to be intimately aware of your 2 key. Missing asside, if you dust someone a double tap to the head with the 92 is essential (unless your up against complete nubbins...)

The 2 key? 1337 players *cough* buy a mouse with more buttons on it and bind the pistol and knife keys to the mouse as well!

But agreed - pistol swap = vital.
Im pretty sure im 1337 enough to get by with my 2 key thank you very much

Leet mice are for people who cant do it keyboard style.... jk

Each to their own, im happy with my setup and I dont miss the headshots often anyway

Holy damn, I make one comment to a guy who calls pistol swapping 'offensive sniping' and everyone's e-penis goes limp.

Pistol swapping IS un-avoidable at times, I'm not retarded. I guess you all just missed my sarcasm?

Same here. I still use my old souped up 2 button MX300. The reason being its light, fast skids and has a very sensitive mouseclick.

M24 or L96A1 all the way!!!!
Lol, idiot.

It depends on the map.  If you're going to play Wake, use the bolt actions.  NOT the M95.
Any city map, the SVD or Type 88.  If you're on USMC, use the L96, as it's quietest.

Hmm if you are good at snap-shooting like ChikyuuShoujoArujuna and Dairuka I would recommend the M95 because you have the added bonus of penetrating body-armor. On city maps most people allready run around with minor damage most of the time so a M95 should get you more kills against all kits.

About the L96A1 being the quietest, I think Todd_Angelo wrote something to that extend. Apparently thats a myth, but I will let him explain that one.

Sorry dude, it didn't read as sarcasm (as you can see).

I feel we should now always mention that this is assuming good hitreg and minimal scope lag

If one or both of those is bad for you then you're starting a couple of rungs down the effectiveness ladder already, so play style (or life expectancy!) has to be modified accordingly.

This is just a fun factoid, we all know from experience the L96A1 is quieter in a way that matters... hard to locate a shot from any great distance... while with the M95 it's easier.

You sir are an imbecile...

the M95 is a bolt-action... numpty...

semi-auto rifles are actually pants for any situation as 1 well placed bolt-action shot will do the job better... i always use the L96 although do use the frankly poor M95 when i wish to irritate pilots...

Oh and who do you think you are trying to give lessons to?... try looking up people's stats etc... before you criticise their opinion fuckwit!

SVD is a popular gun for aimbotters however you may have just encountered a very good player.

SVD was always good gun for both long and CQC. It has become my fav sniper rifle.

I said M24 or L96, but not the M95.  I didn't say it wasn't a bolt action.  Maybe I wasn't clear enough, that's my fault.
