I was playing on a Dragon Valley map server last night and kept getting TK'd. After the third one, I got booted for the above reason which I will have to paraphrase. "Reason: For Punishing for unintentional Teamkill." Now, I generally forgive unless I actually see someone pull the 'trigger'. I may have missed the 'page up' button in the hurry to forgive and forget.
First off, I assume there was not a differentiation in the punishment type. In other words, a punish is a punish. You punish and move on. So I speculated that I may have punished an admin.
Second, why have the FF on AND a goofy rule like that. I rejoined the server and watched the text scroll by at the top. And low and behold, it was true. People were getting warned for punishing for TK! And I saw others getting booted after the warning, too. IMO, the FF should have been off.
Third, how the poop can you tell if the punishment was intentional??? I thought it was up to the TK'd player to decide if the punishment should be given out. Why does the Big Brother server get this sanctimonious overriding action? Like I said above, I may have hit the wrong button but hard cheese! That is not the servers right. And the punished player can start a "kick" vote (although they rarely work).
Fourth, if you say "Sorry" from the rose thingy, does that negate this action? It would go like this: TK; 'Sorry'; punish for TK considered intentional???
OK. Now your turn.
