Since around last week on bf2 i have been having this shitty fps. I have no viruses etc as i did a format which didnt fix this problem. I have no services running except the ones for my mouse, xfire and ts.
my specs;

amd athlon 64 3200+
7600gt xfx
2gb corsair pc3200
win xp sp2
NooBesT
Pizzahitler

You reformatted your computer and it still doesn't work?

That means it is a hardware problem. Since you have a drop in fps only; it is probably the RAM.

mm ok my ram is fairly new so i could do mem tests etc. As of now i have my old 6200 in and im gunna do a 3d mark 05 score then put my 7600  in and compare. Im also going to try doing it when taking my new 2x1gb sticks in and my old 2x512 sticks.


edit - yes i have all the drivers and things i need.

FPS has nothing to do with your internet connection.

What are your CPU idle/load temps, and your GPU idle/load temps?

the problem could be with a newer version of the drivers for something...if you updated them before you formatted, installing the same version after would keep your fps low. use drivercleaner and google to remove your current driver and install older versions untill it works. i would try this for videocard first. you shouldnt have to go back more then 2-3 versions.
