I fired up special forces for the first time in months and despite the 2142 vs bf2 argument, it has to be annoying to see ads for 2142 stuff in bf2.
There are barely any. Well, I never notice them anyway.

Oh, that. I think it takes my internet connection (Australian 1500kps FTFW NOT) an extra twenty seconds to display that ad.
On top of a 1 minute login and a 2 and a half loading time for games, follwed by a 1 minute validation. So it's not really that much.
