I can never get this one right.

I cant spell for shit these days because I am a computer programmer. Why is this a reason? you ask.

Well I can come up with my own words when programming and these words mean something to me and the program, but might not mean anything to anyone else, so I dont have to spell properly. THen if I am writing a document, I will use MS Word which corrects my spelling automatically without me even thinking about it. So basically my speeling has deterioated threwout the yeers.

For a lot of people its "alot" even though its actually two words. You dont say "abit" you say "a bit". The same applies to "a lot".

Think FRI (as in frying food, but with an "I") and then END. I always say in my mind when spelling words, how they sound and i tend to break it up a bit. So when i am writing friend i think "FRYEND"

I was bound to get it sooner or later, lately Ive been doubling every letter

I end up saying pwned and owned all the time these days. make you look like a fool when no one knows what you are on about.

I am scottish but spell Colour as Color most of the time, again because of my job.

background-color
bgcolor
color
etc....
(html coding, css coding)

just thought of one that I always get mixed up.

Always spell 'Their' as 'Thier'.

I'm always having some problems with spelling couple of the longest words in Finnish. These aren't even compounds.

Let me give you a brief example.

examples wrote:

1. epäjärjestelmällistyttämättömyydelläänsäkäänköhän
2. kumarreksituteskenteleentuvaisehkollaismaisekkuudellisenneskenteluttelemattomammuuksissansakkaankopahan

The first one is understandable but the second one.. Who knows?

EDIT: BTW, I'm quite sure that I can't translate those into English.
