hey guys, i made an iso file using different iso programs but everytime i make an iso the file type always just comes up as "file" in the properties tab. if put .iso on the end of the file it chages it to a rar file lol. my deamon tools wont open it unless its an image file.

anyone got any ideas that mat fix this. its not the programs im using as ive used them before and they work but something isnt right this time.

Rar recognises ISO files and can view them thats why it changes the pic...

just navigate to the iso in daemon it will work

Do you mean the icon just change? WinRar associates by defaults with .iso files. Can u see your extension?

If you browse to it in daemon click on show all files it will be there and daemon will use it as normal

You have to make sure it's a bootable .ISO, not all are.

You cant boot from deamon tools, you need to burn the file to a dvd and boot from that

You do realize that daemon tools does not load until after the OS. If you are trying to boot from the disc you should probably burn a hard copy.

I just saw you may have tried this already. Ooops.

I'm suprised you have view extensions turned off.
