Specs:

3.2 Ghz
1.5 gigs of ram
Geforce 6800 256mb PCI-E

Game automatically put all settings on high. Works fine, i never lag or slowdown even on 64 players maps.

But randomly, the game will just close on me. Out of no where. Basically like an Alt-F4.


Anyone experience this? Any help is appreciated.

Happens to me as well from time to time. Think it might be a server issue, as I have restarted BF2 and gone back to the same server, only to find it was playing a new map with only 2 people on it...

You could check the temps on your machine (e.g. if your video card is overheating ???)

My Specs: 3GHz Athlon 64, 2Gb RAM, ATI x800GT

lots of people have this problem. its happened to me a few times before, the game will just automatically close.

hmmmm, it happens on different servers.

Temperatures are 44C for vid card and 36C for cast.

Those temps are fine - mine are very similar  :^ ) 

Ask yourself this question - does it just happen on BF2? 
If you can play single player games for hours at a time, then it isn't your video card overheating.
If you can play other online games (CSS or CoD2) without issue, the it isn't your ISP disconnecting you.

Another thought - do you have a Router ???  Mine occasionally resets itself ...

there are problems like that for me, its only once in a while though so i dont really think about it much....

my specs 2.75GHZ overlcocked AMD 64 3700

temps 80C video card (i know wtf? im getting watercooling on it soon...) 35C CPU

OK mate. You only have to look at the diference between the number of posts in the Complain and Praise sections of this forum to know how many problems people have with BF2.

I still love this game tho... the most addicitive game I have ever played  :^ )

i got a 1.5GHz 512 RAM Radeon 9200 Pro, and it never closes down lol. isnt that weird how the good computers crash?

i think it just sumtimes has to refresh it self. i have no clue.
