So, why aren't there any threads about GoW II yet? I got it last night and have played through about 6-8 hours. This game excells beyond the first and is probably destined to become the greatest action game ever. The first was phenominal, but the 2nd is taking everything that made the first so great to the next level and beyond.

I won't post anything about the game as to not ruin it, but it takes off from the begnning and never looks back. The first battle requires some nerves, as you fight an enemy 100x your size.

Anyone else got the game yet? What say you?

I didn't even know that it hit the shelves, damn sold my PS2 few months back ------------ well it play on PS3 ( theres been alot of talk that PS3 doesn't have 100% backwards compatabilty )

It seems that the gamers here don't really appreciate a real game. GoW2 is infinitely more fun that BF2.

since some ppl say that it has 100% backwords

and some say that PS3 only has a select few backwords

No idea. I'm playing it on a ps2. I've actually heard that Sony is abondoning their backwards capatability due to issues. There's no telling what's the truth anymore though.

Only the EU PS3's are not 100% backward compatible! Though sony is going to release updates so more and more games will work. But I am sure ur american/japanese PS3 is 100% backward compatible

how long does do you think that God of War II will keep PS2 owners afloat - I mean are there anymore good games coming for PS2 or is Sony going to let it go and concentrate on PS3

GoW2 is probably the last great game for ps2. Unless, they make GoW3 for it, but I doubt it. GoW3 will be a ps3 seller for sure.

bought GoW II last nite ---------- AWESOME --------- bro-in-law gave me his old ps2 (he bought a ps3)

this game is awesome, but its hard to equal it to the first bc the first was fantastic

just got it and I agree so far it is an amazing game and I have only played about 3 hours but I can tell they put a lot of work into the game and it paid off.
