I have a tip for bus drivers. Turn up on time and passengers will be less pissed off with you.joker3327 wrote:

The driver was just trying to pull a fast one...welcome to rip off Britain!!
where are you at Alpha ?
About bus drivers and fares. We have to have the exact change on the buses here in Glasgow, so the bus drivers dont have that hassel anymore. But you have to show them some respect because they have to put up with a LOT of assholes throughout the day who think they can do what the feck they want on the bus.

Karma sucks. I try really hard to be nice, and it comes around and bites me in the ass. I save the planet by cycling instead of learning to drive, I get hit with a string of thefts, expensive repairs, and the Fuzz lurking at red lights trying to catch me getting a head start on the traffic.
Or I finally get a job, but the council turns around and stops my employers trading.
The only thing that DOES pay off is making an effort to do nice things for girls. Making them something, or buying something cheap but cute for a special occasion pays off instantly.

Yea, the other day I tried to buy a weekly ticket for £8.50, so I gave her (Yes, female bus driver) a £10 note. She looked at me with her big buldging 'did you just put your thumb up my ass?' eyes and said, I don't have change for that I'm not a bank!joker3327 wrote:

So I said, "What do I look like fucking Lloyds TSB myself? You wouldn't expect to have to give people change now would you!"
Dumb bitch. I just stared at her for a bit until she reluctantly coughed up £1.50 change, clinging onto the last 50p like an old-age pensioner giving up her house key as her kids put her in a home!

They put something in the bus drivers teas in Cambridge. We have nice bus drivers. Who are always happy to give change (why does that sound a bit, erm, you know... (hmm... maybe that picture has badly affected me... (Anyhoo...))) Seriously we do. (or is just that I look like a psychopath?) A while back I had one refuse the offer of exact fair - a 'day rider' ticket here is £2:80 - I plonked down £3, then realised I had the 80p, so said "Oh, actually, I've got the 80 if you want" - "No, that's fine" he replied!
(like all bus drivers they have no sense of time though)

You are completely right. Its pointless when all these people just swap it to make themselves seem more popular.
There is your answer....Cambridge..... a tourist town of course they have change lolScorpion0x17 wrote:

Our {casino employees} bus drivers have tip buckets out with things like "Feed ME!" written on it. That's after the ticket as well , they feel that they should get tipped for getting you there safely. I'll throw them a dollar now & then just for them telling someone annoying to shut it.
The public transit system here will throw you off the bus if you don't have exact change which is something odd like $1.10.

Just because I find £10 on the ground doesn't mean I will drop £10 at a later date for someone else to be happy.
University town, not tourist town. Students outnumber tourists.joker3327 wrote:

WTF? That doesn't tie with any of this topic! No one puts £10 on the ground to increase Karma! lolzleetkyle wrote:

Exactly what I was thinking. "..."jsnipy wrote:
