Definatly 1.3. I was in the height of my BF2 fandom at this stage but without a game capable computer. My local iCafe could not run Battlefield 2 with 1.3 so I had to literally wait until the next patch before I could play again.

Isn't a patch supposed to make a game better? Someone need to inform EA of that.
My vote goes for 1.3 because that one made it almost impossible to even play the game because of the ctd:s.

i remember 1.3 as being a total nightmare
1.2 or so, when AA was hiting every helicopter. Playing Sharqi in heli was hell...
1.2 may have changed a lot of the game mechanics, but it doesn't matter if the game crashes 75% of the time once the map is finished loading. 1.3 was by far the worst, and it was at that point that I decided to never buy an EA or DICE game again.
The ultimate insult was that the game only crashed after the map had finished loading, which especially sucked for people with medicore PCs, like me... it takes about five minutes or so from when I double-click on the game's icon to when I see the "Join Game" button. I was ready to throw the game out the window after the three or four successive CTDs I'd get before actually getting to play.

1.3. 1.2 was just...funny beyond belief.
(totally not influenced by a server crashing on 1.3 immediately after I received expert knife.)

idk, i didn't like the one where you couldn't blow up AT mines with tank shells anymore, but i loved that helo's got reduced health, although reducing the missile count was weird, o wel

Many other patches screwed up game play, 1.2 probably more than 1.3, but with the addition of all the CTD problems and lack of EA support, the game went to absolute shit for a few months.

The worst was 1.3, server crashes, CtDs, and wallhacking made easy (but car-drop was nice when it wasn't exploited). I think I liked 1.22 the best but that is only because by the time 1.4 and 1.41 came out I was getting bored of BF2.

I voted 1.3, because the CTDs were annoyingly frequent.
Though, it was ludicrous that 1.41 was a 500MB download for a lousy handful of megabytes difference to 1.40 and no incremental patch version.

1.2 was definitely the worst. It was too fundamental a change to the gameplay dynamics to be enjoyable.

1.3 But, I only started playing when 1.3 was the current patch. I somehow persisted through the connection errors until the 1.4 patch came out, and I could suddenly play for hours without random disconnects.
