It seems these days that anyone playing medic is a noob or statpadder. Maybe not the stereotypical statpadder but they seem to be looked at as one nontheless. I'm wondering where everyone stands on this issue? I can see where people could think that medics are noobs because everyone seems to think they are good at that kit. Stupid medics are common, reviving teammates in the middle of a nade-shower should result in a ban from the server . I think the community needs to realize that there are actually some medics out there that know what they're doing before they look at someone's stat page and sees the medic picture in the upperleft corner and immediately assume "n00b!" Personally I have the most hours in the medic kit, but I also have plenty of hours in all the rest (100+).
I don't think people who play medics are noobs at all. People mainly say that because Medics usually can get more points because they have more ways to make points. I don't care what anyone thinks about me when I play medic, I'm just having fun, which is the point of the game. The points isn't to have "internet gaming honor" or anything like that. Who cares, its just a game.
Well most of the medics i see are more interested in weather or not they ll get some points which causes then to divebomb into 15 nades to revive you only to allow the nade spammer 2 kills.. That is why you have to squad up and have a medic that knows what hes doing
i don't mind medics, but i hate people who are like "zOMG i pwned your sry n00b as wit my Ak!!!11!one!" but could only do that with medic because they have to heal themselves after every encounter and couldn't last two seconds as assault with the same gun

The medic is arguably the most important kit on the battlefield. . . .
Reviving is huge in a close battle cause you arent loseing tickets!! And if you arent constantly losing tickets, you have a better chance of obviously winning the round.
Not too mention if you have a guy(s) playing medic who knows how to shoot, you could dominate the battlefield. I have seen it alot especially in Warlord palace battles. . .

medic = helping everyone stay alive.. you revive others and keep a group going. I find a lot of the time in large servers people just assume others will be the med and go assault or something and your team gets their ass kicked because you cant cap flags without them. It does also help in smaller servers where there arent abuncha other meds to be able to heal yourself...

I don't think that playing the medic kit should automatically give the person playing it the title of "noob." If they are being stupid about it, like reviving their teammates without taking out the threat in that area first, then yes, they are not playing the kit correctly. I can't stand it when I get killed, then revived only to be greeted by another grenade from the same guy that just killed me.
I have seen medics turn the tide of the round before. I just think it is rather "weird" that when someone has stats like 70 hours medic and 20 minutes for the rest of the time, i just cant see the fun in playing the same kit/map over and over again, plus its just waaaaayyyyy to easy to get points in a round as a medic, i wouldnt really call it padding i would just call them a kark/medic-whore

I'm medic 80% of the time, I dont do it blazin style (ie revive whoring) I do it rambo style, Anyways everyone on my team are usually fucking idiots and dont know how to heal people so I do it myself. aka, I R TEH LEET RAMBO MEDIX THAT GETS GOOLLD WITH KILLS OVER TEAMWORX POINTS KEKEKE
side note: i perfer to play on non-io servers, playing infinity with vehicles = more requires more skill then i/o (aka having to deal with arty and tanks) oh and its not full of claymores..

i dont think medic's are noobs at all. Medic is a very important kit and usually when i see a good medic which is not a retard who revives people in the middle of enemy fire just to get points i see a good teamplayer but i do think people who use the G36E are noobs as we all know .
I personally feel that being a medic is only fun if you are in a squad. Gettin all the "thanks champ, I owe you one" is fun! Same with support....I play a map like Ghost Town, pal around with a bunch of AT guys, and just throw some ammo to them. Most of the time, the AT kit runs around with the ERYX on thier shoulder. So if im there with my PKM, I can take out the enemy thats ground pounding, saving the AT guy.

I'm a medic, and over time i learned to be an effective medic, knowing when to revive and crap.
I love my G36E, and statpadding is fun when ur bsing, but not in real games or even pubs...only when everyone is bsing with you. Good medics can make the difference in a game.

To really say that you are good at something, it needs at least 200 hours.
I am specialised in helicopters, and I have 500 hours played there, AND I `CAN SAY THAT I´M GOOD!!!!
So to be good as a Medic, IN THIS EXAMPLE, YOU NEED AT LEAST 100 HOURS OF BASIC TRAINING!!!!
That includes, to know what weapon to use in specific areas in the map, how to use them, and most important,
WHEN to use them.
So feel free to train as a medic for 1000 hours if you like it, I am aiming for mastering the chopper.
But that's me.

You wanna have GOOD medics, GOOD Supports, GOOD assaults, GOOD AT-Guys etc...

Now days I enjoy the game to the max!!! And guess what??? I still Win most of the battles!!! And get good points!!!!

Medics are not noobs ! A good medic is a great help to the team
Heck, I had people calling me legendary when I ran everywhere reviving anyone who got critically wounded in a major firefight (seriously, I felt as if I was everywhere reviving anyone who wasnt in risk of getting killed again together with me). I remember that round clearly, Karkand, I was MEC and we were down to the Northeast spawn area. We were all pinned down badly ,but managed to hold out in the end due to the dedication of a few medics and me on the team....got my Valorous Unit ribbon that round too !

I'm pretty sure I'm achieving victories with style, not points. Because I don't know if you noticed this or not Uber, but rounds aren't won by who gets the Gold, Silver, or Bronze medal. Shit its a fuckin game who gives a rats ass only the 12 year olds that play care, EVERY class has its merits and its draw backs and EVERY class has its n00bs. i play I/O kark so what and my fav kit is Medic that's because as a medic you can turn the tide if it is a tight game but i agree diving into a grenade shower or volley of bullets just for the revive is fuckin idiotic, I've had to endure a volley of abuse over Voip for not reviving some corporal in very fierce fire fight more than once now they are not n00bs just rude and ignorant and have very little situational awareness and that pisses me off the most the lack of knowledge of whats goin on around you, there is no excuse for that.
