I have played this game a lot and (as with other games I have played previously) I notice the way the best players move is different to that of your average Jo. That’s just my observation but I bet if you asked a skilled player and a noob to get from A-B, you could all pick the better player instantly!

On to my point…

I often find it funny that tactics used against better players is radically different from those you can get away with employing against others. I find that if I know a solid player is on the other team (from previous rounds or after watching them down my scope for all of 1 second – lets face it we all remember the good players, teamplayers or ownage machines as well) I have to use more tactical positioning to ensure I am (and my squad are) as effective.
Now, I am a slightly different case as I snipe but I am sure the same is true of all classes, if you come up against a really good player do you find yourself giving them more respect when choosing when to commit to a fire-fight?
As I said, I am different in that im a sniper but I find that its an advantage to try to win a map by avoiding direct battles where the outcome is chancey (and by this I mean that I lead my squad to alternative flags in the hope of leading the enemy to fighting on my terms).
Do you try to engage head on or do you adapt? Is this solely down to your strengths or is it because of limitations in you play in getting stuck in a certain mindset (everybody has a weakness)?

Has anyone you play against regularly adapted specifically to avoid your style of play? (fearme “I don’t go prone anymore” snipers im looking at you here)

In the mornings I'll often help an ADMIN get his servers going by populating an empty server.

When the round starts we may have 3-4 "idlers" and only 4 people actually playing 2 vs 2 on a 64 map.  This is when I find I am the most "careful" with my movements.  Dropping prone and strafing around every corner, staying crouched searching for targets, making sure I don't silloette etc.  Once more players join in I tend to be a little more sloppy & charge around corners etc .....

I spend the entire game playing a tactfully as I can.  Each situation has many options, as a squadleader or commander it is my job to make the best choices and find the best routes to victory.
I realize it's a game, and by god, I will kill people by shooting a rocket at my own feet if I have to...
But I try to keep it real, too.

Besides, it puts a hell of alot of fun into this game when a carefuly laid ambush or unfallable defense is carried out successfully.

Or you just throw C4 on the jeep and say fuck it.

It depends. If I am alone and see on the minimap more enemies coming to my position (which class I'm playing doesn't matter at that point) I try to keep them on distance and try to move as much as possible.
Also very impostant ist to check whether the enemy has a UAV up, or a working commander at that point.
I try to attack from different positions to impersonate a full aqud as well as I try to use the whole repertoire.
If I could get their names with the ranks pop up on my screen I also try to act accordingly.
Nothing against the lower ranks, but if you see some majors, captains, colones or generals coming to your position you know you can't fool them that easy and that they can adapt very easy to the situation.
Most important to me is always: move a lot. otherwise you are a good and easy target.

Most people don't go into the offensive if they don't have to. but if you do, you better get the flags first you think your enemy is not at. that's because since u on ly attack when necessary that there is a fast need of a captured flag. you want to achieve that first before you get up in a big fight again, cause you always need the tickets and also a spawnpoint.

Oh for sure, like if i notice a good sniper on other team im not gonna go the obvious places, im gonna be moving all the time, i do that usually, but when i know all other snipers on other team arent as good, i camp XD.

I tend to either stay back and mow everyone down with the SVD on MEC/M95/L96 on USMC or rush in with an AK or M16 and kill as many people as possible before i die (which is usually quite a few unless i catch a nade in the face or end up facing a bunch of support whores. Prone spamming/Bunnyhopping FTW.

Well, if there is someone really good, and he/she's, say, manning a stationary machine gun while capping a base, I send them my love through the power of an SRAW, accompanied by a teabag.

All meant in respect, though.

It's funny how many people fear myself and my friend with AT.  Easially take a Chopper out without them knowing where the hell we were.  Tanks might get one of us, but they will always die when facing us.  It's funny seeing how people react to us,  some people just stay out of vehicles, or at least away from where they think we are.  Others don't care and just keep comming at us.  If we're on another clan's server, we often get kicked being called hackers, or having a high ping or admin space.  I don't get angry when that happens, I laugh at how we can piss some people off so much and take it as a compliment.

I've had players adapt to my style of play.  They leave the server, lmao.  Nothing more gratifying than knowing somebody is smashing the shit out of their keyboard whilst I play on.

When i go against a good player i verbally attack them, hunt them down and tea bag them the rest of the round.

When u get in their head it throws them off.....sometimes.

-I play sloppy/predictably when everything seems to be going well and when I feel I'm a significantly better player than most of the opposite team (which is most of the time).
-If an enemy kills me repeatedly or if I get the impression the other team is very good, I play a lot more caustiously. Normally, my focus is on getting kills, and not so much on keeping myself alive. If I am up against good players, the focus shifts to trying not to die, and any kill I get is a bonus. This means I never just run into open territory, go prone, and blast away (which I do tend to do a lot if the enemy seems to suck).

PS> DARK TOWER FTW.

ya kooda if you guys dont know is a brilliant sniper. Since i played alot with him a while back i basically dont go prone now for more than 1-2 bursts. Its made me a lot bettter player apart from saving you from gay ass snipers..  (not all the time from kuda though) but also if u prone then come back up hop and prone ur accurarcy increases as your deviance is reset

For me im a head on kinda guy. I see 3 people so i run at them... A few hops and bounces here and there. But generally im gd enough to do it. With Ak101 neways.

Comprehensive guide Marine, I have my play style pretty much nailed, its others I notice adapting really but I will myself if I notice a solid squad (essentially just change my capping order) on the opposing team. I just wondered if anyone else had noticed it, or noticed themselves doing it.

P.S. off-topic, but Stephen King writing himself into his own series of books o.O
