double click on icon, black screen, few seconds, kick back to desktop without any messages as to why.

negative karma hasn't worked for like 8000 years....wtf?

anyways, i'm thinking....registry problem? something isn't doing what it is supposed to when the game is loading...my thoughts would be to reinstall and see if that fixes it.

i got it off downloader and i dont feel like redownloading 2 gigs worth of shit. and i know about the negative karma. its a joke, eh?

Just checkin' cause half of my CTDs are caused from my X-fi card being set to "entertainment" instead of "gaming".

Could check you firewall setting to make sure its allowing it and not blocking it.

delete your profile folder and try again. Also setting the .exe to win 2000 compatibility, starting the game up, closing it and removing compatibility seems to solve some problems

Well this might be awkward but it can be your video card. Sometimes when it over heats it automatically closes your game and doesn't give a reason.
