10 kills as a sniper..... isnt that hard    if you really want it and cant get it with using the rifle jump in a APC or something and get it that way, more fun using the rifle though

tip - karkand, team - MEC, good stop on top of the building in the middle of the map, should pick up afew kills there , i have a good spot for USMC to but its MY spot lol

I was at Sharqui with my MEC-sniper. I think it's easier as a beginning-sniper to have that semi-automatic promise of shooting a fleeing bastard down instead of letting him get away while you reload.

The other thing you can do there (top of building at square) is wait 'till a couple of enemy are capping the flag... then toss a claymore down. Usually good for a couple of kills.

yea true, but its quite easy to see anyone if there on top of that building        especialy if u were in the sniping point for the USMC team that i like to go to

another good tip is let the enemy (if moving) walk into ur cross hairs, dont follow him, let him walk into them, then BANG, hes down

i got mine on gulf of oman, mad easy

just aim for the head...

Take a city map (karkand, mashuur, sharqi or ghost town) and snipe from the buildings/hills.
Always watch your back and place some claymores around.

Some common tips for sniper that I didn't see mentioned:

* The silent pistol is your friend. Enemies spin in confusion if you're firing even from close range. If you're hidden reasonably, it'll take them too long to spot you. Challenge is getting close enough in the first place.

* If you're in a tight alley with no cover, carry the claymore as a primary weapon. Someone appears in front of you, just drop the claymore. They'll go pop, and you escape with whatever damage they did spraying bullets at you.

* Fire a big-caliber rifle round at their torso, then switch to pistol and fire away with that to finish off their last five percent of health.

Having said all this, I will point out that I'm no scope-meister. I love being up on a hill spotting and sniping, but I'm not great at avoiding unwanted attention from choppers.

what i did to get my basic (on a new acount) was to go karkand (either team doenst really matter) and hope that u have the shoot out at train accident and if u do just pick them off one by one. but ten kills really isnt that hard. oh and use ure nades alot. like when ure commander gives u a uav just nade where theres guys. worked fine for me.

Basic Sniper was my first badge ever. I just got it like anyone would. I used my primary weapon to shoot people I didn't like. If you can't earn it by using your kit rather than going commander or in a veichle, you should wait until your skills are proficiant to get the badge.
