Yep, fresh install, newest drivers... is the 'cheapest' solution (still takes a looong time).
A better PSU wouldn't hurt either I think.

No I bought this OS legally, but it was 4 years ago so..... lost the XP cds.

And I have an identical computer as this one because we ordered 2 at the same time but XP got messed up badly on that one so it is in the garage, but it has the same PSU, motherboard, and CPU. So if nothing will work I will try swapping out my parts into that one to see if it is the motherboard or CPU causing the problem
