When I start BF2 and try to log into my account, I get the message "server has refused the connection". I just need to know, it it a problem with my computer, or an error on the server and no one can connect? And if it's an problem on my PC, how can I fix it?

(And I did a search, and I couldn't find any topics related to this)

I did. Nothing came up.

And you do realise, that out of all of those threads, only two of them provided a solution (Re-install or just wait a while)? They all consisted of "i got this problem server refused connection wait dont worry its fixed" and "its answered here and here in b4 cloes!1!!1".

I've gotten that occasionally... my two answers 1) Wait a while, it's on their end.
and 2) Make sure your security software (whatever you use for a firewall) is set to allow bf2 to access the internet. If you recently changed the bf2.exe name (as suggested in the tweak guide), the firewall may not allow you to connect.

Um...

but yeah. Most likely on their end.

I don´t have nothing against you but since you were named US server admin you are way to cocky. I remember when you first came here you were friendly. Now you always rub the errors of users that are lazy and/or dont know how to search things. If you are going to help aid him, if not stay away.

I was playing quite happily until I made the decision to reboot the comp because of lag issues, and when I try logging on again the "the server has refused connection" message comes up. I had the exact same thing last saturday around the same time, didn't work till the next day.

What the hell does EA do to create this mess? They sure don't seem to be able to fix it.

Considering I acknowledged it in my post, wouldn't it seem ovbious that after I put that up, I would do one of those things? You don't have to spam useless info.

And yes, it seems waiting a while did the trick.
