if you haven't heard of it, you probably heard of his book, A Purpose Driven Life.

I find church can still be useful, at least it was when I was back in school. There's two paths to take:

A) Select a goth to sit next to, and then watch them attempt to steal prayer books which they plan to burn. IF you get a particularly eloquent one, they may fantasise about upcoming kidnappings or murders they have planned, and you can then rejoice in your ability to resist the temptation of wearing black, painting your face white and pretending you enjoy pain and suffering to garner attention.

B) Listen to the message the pastor / reverend / father / priest/ llama is trying to make, about homelessness, tolerance, immorality etc., contrast it with your own views, and then totally switch off as soon as you hear the word "God" or hymn singing. iPod is useful in this case, song suggestion: Norman Greenbaum - Spirit in the Sky.

Bah! Keep the Chreasters out of church as they just take up space or show up to Easter decked out like a "gangsta" (really saw that one today). Evangelical religion has never really struck me as good anyway, it seems more like an infomercial to me despite being the cause of the Great Awakening back in the day.

Beings as the wifies dad plays trombone in the band I'm always front and center, so, that wouldn't do.

Plus, it is great theater. Jesus ( why do I felt nervous suddenly when taking the Lords name in vain ) there is a 15 piece string section, 10-20 horns, drums, percussion,piano, hamond B3. The guitarist from Ambrosia plays there often. A few weeks back Bono was there in the audience.

I'm not entirely closed minded, his message intrigues me, its just that I will never believe in the literal ressurection and believe that if man has a soul, then so does every other living thing.
