Ok, I have 4 slots for ram, and only 1 slot is used by my 1 gig stick. I have two 128mb sticks. Could I plug both of those in with the 1 gig?
most likely, if it's a newer motherboard the slots will have colors. Just put them in the same colored slots (may be one slot apart, the other slot being the same color as the one your 1 gig is in). If it doesn't work just pull them out and your answer will be no!
what mobo and what ram ?

And you have to put the 2x 128mb in slot 0 and slot 2, and afterwards the 1 gig in slot 1. With putting 1gig in slot 0, you only have slot 1 and slot 3 left to put the 128 in slots with the same colour, and not mounting a slot inbetween them is a no-go, I think.
urm, im willing to bet that the 128mb sticks will be of a far slower type than the 1gb stick, thus making your whole memory bus train down to the lowest speed for all sticks.

dont bother putting the 2 128mb sticks in....
if they are slower then your 1gb, it could drag down your overall preformance.
I put it all in, it seems to go a little faster. Like normaly at the beggining of a round I lag a little because it still has to load some things, but after putting the other ram in, it doesn't lag.
