The best way to have this argument is by removing the infallibility of the existence of god, meaning that many theists that have this debate argue from the position that God exists as a FACT.
That's when it ceases to be theory vs. theory.
And then the discussion goes horribly wrong.
I would still like to hear him clarify why he took a paragraph to say that he isn't calling atheists idiots, when his second line is bolded, underlined, and colored to say the exact opposite.
Perhaps it's like the bible, where the religious claim that some of it is metaphors and some of it is cold hard fact (garden of eden and the denouncement of homosexuality as a sin)

Yes. Literally, 100% of the "self proclaimed Atheists" I know in real life are idiots. One of these atheists sits two cubes down from me at work and is constantly trying to prove that God does not exist, showing me this, that, watch this online documentary, trying to engage me in debates, etc etc etc. Also, I'd say a solid 70% of the online atheists I've met are also idiots.sergeriver wrote:

It's really quite simple. Those who do not limit themselves to common beliefs about god are the ones talking about him the most because they are searching for the truth. By assuming that god doesn't exist, certain fundamental questions remain unanswered. Ergo all the fuss. Analysis of peoples' beliefs is an essential part of that search.
