I think all they do is base rape from far away. Or at least, that's the only good I found of them.

I don't think SCUDS are aa.
From what i've heard,they can carry Biological and chemical warheads and long distance.They're used by Iraq and them sorts of countires.

They are semi-long range dumfire "missiles" that typically carry large payloads.

actually that isn't a scud you are fiering, it's a katuska, which is a "modified" version of the scud, basically it got a longer range because of a sacrifice in payload, and that it enters the stratofear and therefore burns down when it descents, that's why the patriot missile system couldn't stop the missiles hitting israel. simply the katuskas were splittet in the air and the patriot missile focuses on the biggest target, which was the fuel tank when it was destroyed.
