lol i bet it was coldplay
Wow. I take it that was the picture from the last forum attack?
it must have been that baggzy fúkr saying size does matter. noob
Wrong section.
no, I don't think it got hacked, I think the owner of the picture of the background you linked to does not like the Myspace editor owner hotlinking to his hosted pictures, because it is stealing his bandwidth.
edit: does that make sense, because I think I can explain it better.

No myspace, I make friends in real life.
is that poop!?!?!
God thats disgusting.*Vomiting*
Hotlinking is when you find a cool picture you want to use, and just use the URL of where you found it. Whenever it's displayed on your site, the pic is actually being loaded up from the original site where you found it. If you do this, then every time someone visits your site (and thus loads up the cool picture), you use bandwith from the guy you hotlinked the picture from. Since he pays for that bandwith, you're effectively stealing from him.jord wrote:

If you want to use a picture, save it, upload it to a hosting service or your own server (say Flickr or Photobucket) and use it from there instead.
Here's an example of Senator John McCain having hotlinked an image (and more...) from someone's site. He was lucky to not receive some tubgirl-esque pictures like you did.
If you don't know what tubgirl is... Well, you're lucky, for a start. But it also means you have not yet plumbed the very depths of the intarweb. Be warned, don't go looking up that name in google from a work account, or a college account, or a computer that you'd rather not blow chunks over.hate&discontent wrote:

And no, I won't post a link. I imagine it'd get me banned pretty sharpish...
People that create and/or host images get mad when people hotlink pictures to their site, because it takes their (the hoster/owner) bandwidth. This person (simmy) used a myspace page editor (very common) and found a picture for his background that the editor linked to. Most likely, the owner/host of the picture hotlinked got mad at the amount of bandwith the editor was taking due to hotlinking the picture. So he just changed the picture to a disgusting one, in hopes of teaching the owner of the myspace editor to host his own pictures, not steal bandwith from someone.MrE`158 wrote:

Oh thank sweet baby Jesus you have that video where it is.
Lol!
Stealing bandwidth IS wrong, especially since there are so many alternatives around.
Also, auto-playing videos? Transparent tables? Text I can't read? Shit, I oughtta dig for your personal information, go to your house, and bitchslap you for wasting my life loading that crap and for bad website design.
