I did a search but didn't find the answer I wanted.

I currently use Teamspeak, but I don't like the delay that it has. I recently downloaded skype and the quality is much better than TS and there is absolutely no lag.

My problem is that Skype is causing BF2 to lag. My Laptop can handle it. It is dual-core 2.5mhz, 2 gig ram, blah blah blah. Are there any settings in Skype that I can adjust? I don't have any other programs running and only have processes running that are necessary.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Anyone want to play, let me know. My favorite aspect of this game is playing within a squad and actually using our brains instead of just our guns.

I used to use skype with SOF2, and it lagged that to shit. For SOF2, my PC was top of the range.

It just chews up resources I guess.

Well, that's probably because Skype wasn't designed as a gaming tool to be run while playing ressource hungry games.
I'd rather have TS lagging than BF2.

Besides, you can change the codec in TS and use a higher quality one.

Tried setting processor affinity for the two programs?

For example I use prioaff.

You could give BF2 to core 1 and skype to core 2.

EDIT: Shouldn't this be in tech?
