So, I just wanted to know that is there someone still playing Battlefield 2? I quit playing BF2 since 2142 came out, but now I'm thinking to start to play it again. I just wanted to know if there is anyone to play with. The last patch I got was the one with Road to Jalalabad (or something). Has there been a patch after that?

Yes lots of people still play it and it is a lot better than 2142 and 1.41 patch has been out for a couple of months.

i quit 2142 for bf2 again... after uninstalling the game in early january. now i uninstalled 2142
im getting good at bf2 again, so thats good. though i still havent recovered to my full leetness as i was in december

lol ye C4 every time someone tells me 2142 is the best game and bf2 is dieing i show them that. 2142 dropped out of top 10 ages ago... love the fact 2 FREE games are above it
I stopped playing BF2 for 2142 when it first came out played it like mad for just over 2 months then got sick of it and returned to BF2. 2142 just doesnt have the same feel as bf2, to me it seams like you're shooting toy guns.
I do like 2142 but I agree bf2 has alot more life in it.
The only reasons I play 2142 over bf2 at the moment are the stupid balance issue's in bf2(in my opinion) which thank god they have learned from in 2142 and the fact 2142 is still quite new to me.
To me if they could combine the balance of 2142 with the feel and the reality based weapons of bf2 it would be a winner.
I think perhaps afew of the bf2 mods may be called for once I have finished with 2142.

Thats what i hated most about 2142, the balance. I like the fact that one army has a better plane than the other, but a crap tank, rather than everything the same except with a different sticky panel on the side. If you ask me stuff in BF2 is too balenced, i would prefer more POE2 Imbalance, where one may have a better heli, but is countered by the other having better AA, which is countered by the other having better Tanks, etc etcSlickfish wrote:
