I'm looking for a program I can download for free which is capable of recording both the visual image playing on my screen and the audio sounds I am hearing through my speakers (the latter is not as important as the primary). I am using this to record a scene of importance for a school assignment from a DVD I am watching using Windows Media Player. I have tried using a program called CamStudio however the image was not recorded correctly (random patches of colour and pixels).
If anyone can link me to something decent which they know works, a reward of karma awaits.
