all i wanna know is

can the SVD, L96, Type 88 and M24 shoot though Humvee and Vodnik glass?

cos if so it would make the M95 useless on maps like karkand and jalalabad.

No. The bullets are made of completely different BF2 engine materials.

one day i had the L9 and shot a guy driving a hummer right through the windsheild..i zoomed out to make sure it was the L9..i dont know how the hell i did it but till this day i still try to get a shot like that again haha.

1 time i shot 1 pistol round at a chopper and it BLEW ......like....eh..eeeeehhhh. BOOM!?

but a j-10 flew over and i knew the kill wassent mine diddent even have a bonus point

M95 can shoot through glass and other thin obsicales. Checked it on other websites too, cause a lot of you guys are arguing about it. The guys who said only M95 are RIGHT!!

Although any sniper rifle can go threw the glass on a pikcup truck in this game, mainly because THERE IS NO FUCKING GLASS!!!! You think you are safe because the guy only has a SVD, and BAM! Dead... : (

I think you shot the guy by the door window, not the winshield

I think the winshield has a glass, not the windows.. correct me if Im wrong.

I actually shot him in the left shoulder. The time i took the screenshot was after I bolted in another round and he came to a stop. It was through the windshield to me, but maybe the bullet did go into the side.

to simplify everything everyone just said. No, only the M95 can go through glass and to this day i have not seen otherwise. Although i was shot out of a chopper by an L85 but it was probably a kill message bug

A friend and i tried this last night, using the M95, L96, and M24, and from the results i found you can't shoot through the Hummer windscreen glass with the L96 or M24 but can with the M95.

But I suggest you try it for yourself though.

Back in my noob days I was caught in the middle of the road by a Humvee coming right at me so in panic I opened up with whatever I was carrying (can't remember for sure which gun but it was fully automatic and this was on Sharqi so AK-101 more than likely) and it killed the driver.

So the oddball kills through glass may not be only message bugs.

Needless to say I died many many times afterwards thinking I could do this anytime I liked...

I've never tested the sniper rifles, but I know the SRAW and ERYX can't penetrate the windshields even though they can kill tanks.

all sniper rifles can shoot throught the "glass" on a hummer or vodnick, it's just really hard, lol

they can't however shoot through the glass of an airplane or chopper

wat u have to do is lure the humvee stand near a wall an dont look directly at them let them think they can easily pin u ag ainst the wall with der viechle jump out of the way at the last second (towards the drivers side) while hes up against the wall tryin to reverse unload ur pistol into the drivers side window (which is open) easy kill

Some of the windows are rolled down (e.g the side windows) however for a ful on face shot in a vehicle only the m95 will do....

However with the EA_wedontreallyknow.wtf file there is a variable that will allow pretty much anything to happen.
